Mitch Richmond

Mitchell James Richmond (born June 30, 1965) is an American retired professional basketball player and current assistant coach of the St. John's Red Storm. He played collegiately at Moberly Area Community College and Kansas State University. He was a six-time NBA All-Star, a five-time All-NBA Team member, and a former NBA Rookie of the Year. In 976 NBA games, Richmond averaged 21.0 points per game and 3.5 assists per game. Richmond was voted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 2014. His nicknames include "The Rock". His jersey No. 2 was retired in his honor by the Sacramento Kings, for whom he played seven seasons.

Danny Ainge

Daniel Ray Ainge (born March 17, 1959) is an American basketball executive and former professional basketball and baseball player. Ainge is currently the general manager and President of Basketball Operations for the Boston Celtics of the National Basketball Association (NBA).
Ainge was an outstanding high school athlete. At Brigham Young University, he was named national basketball college player of the year and won the John R. Wooden Award for the most outstanding male college basketball player. While in college, Ainge also played parts of three seasons with the Toronto Blue Jays of Major League Baseball (MLB), mostly as a second baseman. He was then drafted into the NBA by the Celtics. Ainge completed 14 seasons, playing for the Celtics, Portland Trail Blazers, Sacramento Kings and Phoenix Suns, primarily as a shooting guard. He went on to coach the Suns for three seasons before joining management of the Celtics, with whom Ainge has three NBA Championships to his credit (two as a player, one as President/GM).
He is the only person to be named a high school first team All-American in American football, basketball, and baseball.

Kevin Martin

Kevin Dallas Martin Jr. (born February 1, 1983) is an American retired professional basketball player who played 12 seasons in the National Basketball Association (NBA). He played college basketball for Western Carolina University, where in his junior year, he averaged 24.9 points per game, which ranked second in the nation. After three years at Western Carolina, he entered the 2004 NBA draft and was selected with the 26th overall pick by the Sacramento Kings.

Bobby Wanzer

Robert Francis Wanzer (June 4, 1921 – January 23, 2016) was an American professional basketball player and coach. A five time All-Star and three time All-NBA Second Team selection, Wanzer played his entire professional career for the Rochester Royals of the Basketball Association of America (BAA) and National Basketball Association (NBA). He won an NBA championship with the Royals in 1951. During his final two years as a player, he served as the team's player-coach. After he retired  from playing in 1957, he remained as a coach with the Royals for one season, before he became the head coach of the St. John Fisher Cardinals college basketball team in 1963. He stayed in the role with the college for 24 years until his retirement in 1987. Wanzer was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 1987.

Tyreke Evans

Tyreke Jamir Evans (born September 19, 1989) is an American professional basketball player. After playing college basketball for the Memphis Tigers, he was selected with the fourth overall pick in the 2009 NBA draft by the Sacramento Kings. Evans went on to win the 2010 NBA Rookie of the Year Award. He was traded to the New Orleans Pelicans in 2013 before being traded back to the Kings in 2017. After susessive stints with the Memphis Grizzlies and Indiana Pacers, Evans, who would have become a free agent at the end of the 2019 season, was dismissed and disqualified from the NBA in May for violating the terms of the league's anti-drug program.

Tom Van Arsdale

Thomas Arthur Van Arsdale (born February 22, 1943) is a former professional basketball player.  A graduate of Indianapolis Emmerich Manual High School, the 6'5" guard played collegiately at Indiana University, Van Arsdale was selected by the Detroit Pistons in the 2nd round of the 1965 NBA draft.  He was named to the NBA All-Rookie Team in 1966, together with his identical twin brother Dick Van Arsdale.  Van Arsdale played in the NBA for 12 seasons; with the Pistons, the Cincinnati Royals, the Kansas City–Omaha Kings, the Philadelphia 76ers, the Atlanta Hawks, and the Phoenix Suns.    Van Arsdale, a three-time All-Star, was consistently over his career one of the best free throw shooters in the NBA.  He retired from play in 1977.
Van Arsdale still holds the NBA record for most career games played without a playoff appearance.  Van Arsdale played 929 games without making a single playoff appearance.  Van Arsdale is also the highest scoring player (14,232 career points) in NBA history without a playoff appearance.
Born in Indianapolis, he is the identical twin of Dick Van Arsdale.  The two brothers played together during the 1976–77 season, which was the final year of play for both. The original lockers of both Tom and Dick remain in the display case in the lobby of the Emmerich Manual High School gymnasium.

Otis Birdsong

Otis Lee Birdsong (born December 9, 1955) is an American former professional basketball player. He spent twelve seasons (1977–1989) in the NBA and appeared in four NBA All-Star Games.A 6 ft 3 in (1.91 m) guard who attended Winter Haven High School and the University of Houston, Birdsong was selected by the Kansas City Kings with the second pick of the 1977 NBA draft. He would spend four seasons with the Kings, averaging a career high 24.6 points per game during the 1980–81 season. He also played seven seasons with the New Jersey Nets and one with the Boston Celtics, and then ended his career at the end of the 1988–89 season.

Eddie Johnson

Edward Arnet Johnson (born May 1, 1959) is a retired American professional basketball player who spent 17 seasons in the National Basketball Association and a year in the Greek Basket League midway through his career. With nearly 1,200 games in the NBA, he is notable for having scored the second most career points of a player to never play in an NBA All-Star game, behind Jamal Crawford. As of the 2018-19 season, he is ranked 52nd in all-time points scored, along with being the fifth in most points scored by an eligible player not currently in the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame. He is currently the co-host of NBA Today, which airs weekdays on Sirius XM NBA Radio and also is the play-by-play TV analyst for the Phoenix Suns on Fox Sports Arizona.

Buddy Hield

Chavano Rainier "Buddy" Hield (born December 17, 1992) is a Bahamian professional basketball player for the Sacramento Kings of the National Basketball Association. He was named the Big 12 Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Year in 2015 and 2016, and in 2016, he received four major national player of the year awards—the John R. Wooden Award, the Naismith Award, Sporting News Player of the Year, and the Oscar Robertson Trophy.  Hield was selected with the sixth overall pick in the 2016 NBA draft by the New Orleans Pelicans.

Doug Christie

Douglas Dale Christie (born May 9, 1970) is an American retired professional basketball player who played 15 seasons in the National Basketball Association (NBA). Standing at 6 ft 6 in (1.98 m), he played the shooting guard position. He is currently a commentator for the Sacramento Kings on NBC Sports California.

Bogdan Bogdanović

Bogdan Bogdanović (Serbian: Богдан Богдановић; born August 18, 1992) is a Serbian professional basketball player for the Atlanta Hawks of the National Basketball Association (NBA). The shooting guard also represents the Serbian national basketball team.
He was selected by the Phoenix Suns with the 27th overall pick in the 2014 NBA draft, with his draft rights being traded to the Sacramento Kings during the 2016 NBA draft. Bogdanović earned an All-EuroLeague First Team and a EuroBasket All-Tournament Team selection in 2017. He was named the 2017 All-Europe Player of the Year, by the international basketball website Eurobasket.com.

Vince Carter

Vincent Lamar Carter Jr. (born January 26, 1977) is an American former professional basketball player who is a basketball analyst for ESPN. He has been ranked as the greatest dunker of all time by numerous players, journalists, and by the National Basketball Association (NBA). He primarily played the shooting guard and small forward positions, but occasionally played power forward later in his career. Carter was an eight-time All-Star in the NBA and a two-time All-NBA Team selection. He is the only player in NBA history to play 22 seasons and in four different decades from his debut in 1999 to his retirement in 2020.[5] Carter entertained crowds with his leaping ability and slam dunks, earning nicknames such as "Vinsanity", "Air Canada", and "Half Man, Half Amazing".

Derek Smith

Derek Ervin Smith (November 1, 1961 – August 9, 1996) was an American professional basketball player. He won a national championship with the Louisville Cardinals in 1980, and spent nine years in the NBA in a career shortened by a knee injury. He would later become an assistant coach for the Washington Bullets from 1994 until his death.

Nate Williams

Nathaniel Russell "Nate" Williams (born May 2, 1950 in Columbia, Louisiana) is a former professional basketball player. A 6 ft 5 in (1.96 m) swingman from Utah State University, Williams was selected first in the 1971 NBA Hardship Draft, a supplemental draft for college underclassman. He played eight and a half seasons (1971–1979) in the National Basketball Association (NBA) for the Cincinnati Royals, Kansas City-Omaha Kings, New Orleans Jazz, and Golden State Warriors. His finest season took place in 1973–74, when he averaged 15.5 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 2.2 assists for the Kings. He ended his NBA career with 7,709 total points.

Raimondas Šarūnas Marčiulionis ([ˈrɐ̂ˑɪ̯mɔndɐs ʃɐˈrûːnɐs mɐrʲtɕʊˈlʲôːnʲɪs] (listen)) (born June 13, 1964) is a Lithuanian retired professional basketball player. Widely considered as one of the greatest international players, he was one of the first Europeans to become a regular in the National Basketball Association (NBA). On August 8, 2014, Marčiulionis was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame, and became a member of the FIBA Hall of Fame in 2015.
In the 1988 Summer Olympics, together with teammate Arvydas Sabonis, Marčiulionis led the senior USSR national team to the gold medal. With the senior Lithuanian national team, he won two Summer Olympics bronze medals, in 1992 and 1996. He was an All-Tournament Team member, the top scorer, and the MVP of the EuroBasket 1995, and he was also elected to the All-EuroBasket Team in 1987.
Marčiulionis is credited with bringing the Euro step move to the NBA.

Arlen Dale "Bucky" Bockhorn (born July 8, 1933) is a retired American basketball player. He was a guard for the NBA's Cincinnati Royals (1958–65). He played college basketball at the University of Dayton and is a member of Dayton's Hall of Fame and All-Century team.

Billy Knight

William R. Knight (born June 9, 1952) is an American former professional basketball player and executive. Playing with the Indiana Pacers in both the American Basketball Association (ABA) and later the National Basketball Association (NBA), he was both an ABA and NBA All-Star. He played college basketball with the Pittsburgh Panthers, who retired his No. 34.
In college, Knight was a consensus second-team All-American in 1974. He began his pro career with Indiana, earning ABA All-Rookie First Team honors in 1975. He continued with the Pacers in the NBA, and he also played in the league for the Buffalo Braves, Boston Celtics, Kansas City Kings and San Antonio Spurs. Knight finished his playing career with a season in France. He became an executive with the Pacers and the Vancouver/Memphis Grizzlies.  He last served as the executive vice president and general manager of the Atlanta Hawks from 2003 to 2008.

Beno Udrih

Beno Udrih (born July 5, 1982) is a Slovenian professional basketball player who last played for Žalgiris Kaunas of the Lithuanian Basketball League (LKL). He previously played in the NBA for the San Antonio Spurs, Sacramento Kings, Milwaukee Bucks, Orlando Magic, New York Knicks, Memphis Grizzlies, Miami Heat and Detroit Pistons. During his time with the Spurs, Udrih won two NBA titles in 2005 and 2007.

Reggie Theus

Reginald Wayne Theus (born October 13, 1957) is an American retired basketball player and the former head coach of California State University, Northridge. He formerly served as head coach for the NBA's Sacramento Kings and New Mexico State University's men's basketball team. He was also an assistant coach for the University of Louisville under Rick Pitino.

Ricky Berry

Ricky Alan Berry (October 6, 1964 – August 14, 1989) was an American professional basketball player in the National Basketball Association (NBA) for the Sacramento Kings.
Ricky Berry was born in Lansing, Michigan in 1964, when his father Bill Berry was a student-athlete at Michigan State University. The Berry family moved to the Sacramento, California area in 1966 when Bill Berry became head coach at a local high school and later Cosumnes River Junior College. Ricky Berry attended Live Oak High School of Morgan Hill, California when his father became head men's basketball coach at San Jose State in 1979.Berry was 6'8" and played small forward. After graduating from high school, Berry played for Oregon State in the 1983–84 season, and then transferred to San Jose State in 1984 to play under his father Bill Berry. After sitting out one year per transfer rules, Berry played for the San Jose State Spartans from 1985 to 1988. Ricky Berry was selected 18th overall in the 1988 NBA Draft by the Kings and had a solid rookie season, averaging 11.0 points, 3.1 rebounds, 1.3 assists while shooting 40.6% from three-point range.
Ricky Berry is one of only three former San Jose State Basketball Players to have his jersey retired, when San Jose State retired his Number 34.
In the 1989 offseason, and just weeks before his 25th birthday, Berry was found dead after a self-inflicted gunshot. He showed no signs of depression and left a suicide note.

Jack Twyman

John Kennedy Twyman (May 21, 1934 – May 30, 2012) was an American professional basketball player and sports broadcaster. Twyman is a namesake of the NBA's Twyman–Stokes Teammate of the Year Award. Twyman was inducted into the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame in 1983.
