List Rules The best science TV shows only--no travel or cooking shows.

The best science TV shows not only entertain, but also educate audiences. They’ve been popular among audiences of all ages for decades and show no sign of going away. In fact, they’re getting even more popular as people's desires for learning continue to grow. But which science TV shows are the most popular and are truly worth watching? Find out below, as fans have voted on their favorites.

The very best science TV shows, like Cosmos: A Personal Journey make learning fun and never feel dull. In fact, Cosmos with Carl Sagan was so popular that over twenty years after it aired, a follow up series titled Cosmos: A Spacetime Odyssey was produced. In the second Cosmos series, Neil deGrasse Tyson explained complicated theories and proofs in an easily digestible way.

For children, good science TV shows provide an excellent alternative to cartoons and animated shows. And it’s not like kids don’t love educational TV shows, as Bill Nye the Science Guy was a popular science show for years. Bill Nye made science fun and not just something a boring part of the ciricculum.

So help people find out which science shows were the best and vote up your favorites, whether from your childhood or not. If you don’t see a science show that you feel should be on the list, feel free to add it. After all, this is supposed to be a comprehensive ranking of the best science TV shows.
