A list of the best Seattle Seahawks of all time. Formed in 1976, the Seattle Seahawks have had a bunch of star players for the them. The team started in the AFC West before moving to the NFC in 2002. Many of the Seahawks best players were drafted and developed by the team. Players like Steve Largent, Cortez Kennedy, Walter Jones and Shaun Alexander are among the best players drafted in Seahawks history. Largent and Kennedy are Hall of Famers who spent their best years playing for Seattle and are considered two of the best players in Seahawks. One of the best teams in Seahawks history that had the best Seahawks players was the 2005 team. Powered by the running of Alexander and the quarterbacking of Matt Hasslebeck, the team went 13-3 and had the best record in the NFC. The team had the top offensive linemen in Seahawks history. Bobby Joseph Wagner is an American football linebacker for the Seattle Seahawks of the National Football League. He played college football for Utah State. He was drafted by the Seahawks in the second round of the 2012 NFL Draft.

K. J. Wright

Kenneth Bernard Wright, Jr. (born July 23, 1989) is an American football linebacker for the Seattle Seahawks of the National Football League (NFL). He was drafted by the Seahawks in the fourth round of the 2011 NFL Draft. He played college football at Mississippi State.

Lofa Tatupu

Mosiula Mea'alofa "Lofa" Tatupu (born November 15, 1982) is a former American football linebacker who played six seasons in the National Football League (NFL).  He was an assistant linebackers coach with the Seattle Seahawks. He played college football for the University of Southern California (USC).  Tatupu was drafted by the Seattle Seahawks in the second round of the 2005 NFL Draft.

Bruce Irvin

Bruce Pernell Irvin, Jr. is an American football linebacker for the Seattle Seahawks of the National Football League. He was drafted in the 1st round of the 2012 NFL Draft, 15th overall by Seattle Seahawks. Irvin, who played in both Super Bowl XLVIII and Super Bowl XLIX, became the first player ever to be ejected from a Super Bowl when he was ejected on the penultimate play of the latter.

Michael Jackson

Michael Jackson (born July 15, 1957) is a former professional American football player who played linebacker for eight seasons with the Seattle Seahawks of the National Football League (NFL).
Jackson was born in Pasco, Washington.  A 1975 graduate of Pasco High School, he has enjoyed greater success and accumulated more career achievements than any other Bulldog. A three-year/three-sport letterman, he was the team captain in both football and baseball while garnering All-State honors and receiving the Denning Award for Outstanding Athlete by the Pasco Jaycees as a senior.At the University of Washington, Jackson earned four varsity letters and was named to their All-Centennial Football Team. He was also selected as the Inland Empire Amateur Athlete of the Year in 1977, a season in which he helped lead the Huskies to the Rose Bowl. The eyes of the nation were on him during that game as he made a vital end zone interception that helped seal Washington ’s victory over the University of Michigan.Jackson holds several defensive school records for the Huskies, including single season (210) and career (569) tackles. Among the several honors he received for the U of W include Sports Illustrated Player of the Week (11-12-77), Husky Team Captain (1978), All Pac-8 & Pac-10 Linebacker (1977–78) and several All-American selections.
In 1979, he was selected by the Seattle Seahawks in the third round of the NFL Draft, where he began an eight-year career as a starting linebacker. One of the team’s all-time defensive greats, he led the Seahawks in tackles for a number of seasons and is among the career leaders in that category. He also earned 21 game balls for his outstanding play and has received numerous other awards including team MVP, Most Improved Player and the Seattle P.I.’s Sports Star of the Year.
Jackson is active off the field with charities including the March of Dimes, Special Olympics, and the United Way. He has had 14 movie and television roles and was voted into the Pasco High School Hall of Fame in 1996.

Leroy Hill

Leroy Hill Jr. (born September 14, 1982) is a former American football linebacker. He played high school football in Milledgeville, Georgia for the Baldwin High School Braves. He was selected with the 34th pick of the third round of the 2005 NFL Draft out of Clemson University by the Seahawks.

Chad Brown

Chadwick Everett Brown (born July 12, 1970) is a former American football linebacker of the National Football League. He was drafted by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the second round of the 1993 NFL Draft. He played college football at Colorado.

Brian Bosworth

Brian Keith Bosworth (born March 9, 1965), nicknamed "The Boz," is an American actor and former professional football player who played linebacker for the Seattle Seahawks in the National Football League (NFL).
Bosworth played High school football for the Sunnyside Grizzlies, and was a two-time consensus All-American. He gained fame and notoriety through his flamboyant personality, controversial comments about the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) and radical hair cuts. Bosworth was less successful in the NFL, and injuries forced him to retire after three seasons.

Fredd Young

Frederick Kimball Young (born November 14, 1961) is a former professional American football player who played linebacker for seven seasons for the Seattle Seahawks and the Indianapolis Colts. He was selected to four Pro Bowls - two on the special teams and two as linebacker. He was renowned as a heavy hitter and was featured in the NFL film 'The NFL Crunch Course.'

Rufus Porter (born May 18, 1965) is a former professional American football linebacker in the National Football League (NFL) for the Seattle Seahawks, New Orleans Saints, and Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

He played college football for Clemson University, and earned All-American honors.  He was drafted in the first round of the 1998 NFL Draft, and he played professionally for the Seattle Seahawks, and briefly, the New Orleans Saints of the NFL.

Terry Wooden

Terry Wooden (born January 14, 1967)  is a former American Football linebacker who played for three teams, the Seattle Seahawks, the Kansas City Chiefs, and the Oakland Raiders from 1990 to 1998.
Wooden played college football at Syracuse University and is currently a scout for the New Orleans Saints.  Attended Farmington High School in Connecticut.

Julian Peterson

Julian Thomas Peterson (born July 28, 1978) is a former American football linebacker who played in the National Football League (NFL) for eleven seasons.  He was drafted by the San Francisco 49ers in the first round of the 2000 NFL Draft.  He played college football for Michigan State University.  Peterson also played for the Seattle Seahawks and the Detroit Lions.

Keith Butler

John Keith Butler (born May 16, 1956) is an American football coach who is the defensive coordinator of the Pittsburgh Steelers of the National Football League (NFL).  He played for the NFL's Seattle Seahawks for ten years and retired after the 1987 season.

David Hawthorne

David Hawthorne (born May 14, 1985) is a former American football linebacker. He was signed by the Seattle Seahawks as an undrafted free agent in 2008. He played college football at TCU.

Bruce Scholtz

Bruce Scholtz (born September 26, 1958 in La Grange, Texas) is a former professional American football player who played linebacker for seven seasons for the Seattle Seahawks and one season for the New England Patriots.
Scholtz attended David Crockett High School in Austin, Texas. During his senior year, he was a captain of the varsity football team and played as both linebacker and center. He won the Central Texas 26AAAA Defensive Player of the Year award. Scholtz also played on the varsity basketball team. He averaged 19 points per game and led the team in rebounding. He graduated from Crockett in 1977 and attended the University of Texas at Austin. He was drafted in 1982, Round 2, Pick 6 (33 Overall) by the Seattle Seahawks.

Tony Woods

Stanley Anthony Woods (born October 11, 1965) is a former professional American football linebacker and defensive end in the National Football League (NFL) who played for the Seattle Seahawks from 1987 to 1992, as well as the Los Angeles Rams and the Washington Redskins. He played college football at the University of Pittsburgh.

D. D. Lewis

De'Andre De'Wayne "D. D." Lewis (born January 8, 1979) is a former American football linebacker. He was signed by the Seattle Seahawks as an undrafted free agent in 2002. He played college football at Texas and high school football at Aldine High School in Houston. In between his two stints with the Seahawks Lewis also played for the Denver Broncos.

Darren Comeaux

Darren Comeaux (born April 15, 1960 in San Diego, California) is a former professional American football linebacker for the Denver Broncos (1982–86), San Francisco 49ers (1987) and Seattle Seahawks (1988–91) of the NFL.
He helped the Broncos win the 1984 AFC West Division and the 1986 AFC Championship, the 49ers win the 1987 NFC West Division and the Seahawks the 1988 AFC West Division.
Darren Comeaux grew up in California playing basketball and running track didn't start playing football until he was in high school. Once out of high school Darren attended Mesa Community College and eventually went to Arizona State University. Darren was undersized while in college weighing only 195 pounds, this being the main reason scouts weren't looking at him. He bulked up to 240 pounds and ended up on the Denver Broncos in 1982. While on the Broncos, he helped his team get to Super Bowl XXI but they would lose to the Giants 39-20. When he was on the San Francisco 49ers he suffered a knee injury which left him on injury reserve. While on injury reserve he was taken by the Seattle Seahawks in 1988 and replaced Brian Bosworth when he had a shoulder injury. Darren led the Seahawks in tackles consecutively and retired after spending 10 years in the league. He finished his NFL career in 1991, in 10 seasons he had over 100 tackles, 3½ sacks, 3 interceptions and he even returned 1 kickoff.

Isaiah Kacyvenski

Isaiah J. Kacyvenski ( KAZ-ə-VIN-skee; born October 3, 1977) is a former American football linebacker of the National Football League. He was drafted by the Seattle Seahawks in the fourth round of the 2000 NFL Draft. He played college football at Harvard and earned an MBA from Harvard Business School after he retired.Kacyvenski also spent time with the St. Louis Rams and Oakland Raiders.  After spending the 2007 season out of football trying to return from microfracture surgery, Kacyvenski officially announced his retirement in 2008.
Isaiah is currently the Founder and Managing Partner of Will Ventures, a venture capital fund focused on sports technology opening up large, adjacent markets.

Terry Beeson

Terry Beeson (born September 19, 1955 in Coffeyville, Kansas) is a former American football linebacker in the National Football League. He played for the Seattle Seahawks from 1977–1981 and the San Francisco 49ers in 1982. He held the Seahawks record for most tackles in a season with 153 until linebacker Bobby Wagner broke it in 2016.
Beeson finished his career in the USFL, playing for the Oklahoma Outlaws in 1984 and Jacksonville Bulls the following year.Beeson was inducted into the Kansas Sports Hall of Fame in 2015.

Shelton Derrick Robinson (born  September 14, 1960 in Goldsboro, North Carolina) is a former American football linebacker who played for two teams in a 7-year National Football League career.
