One of the best medium shields for the early parts of the game, the Brass Shield is simply a traditionally sized medieval-based shield that is made entirely out of brass. While the shield itself doesn't have any special skills, it is an all around great shield that can be easily customized to whatever play style players want to do. Since Elden Ring offers such a wide variety of builds, first time players that are unsure what to do can experiment as much as they want with the Brass Shield until they figure out what they want.
