Best slopestyle snowboarders in the world -- active
While there are many awesome slopestyle competitors, this list contains the best of the best. Most have competed (even medaled) at the FIS Snowboarding World Championships and the Winter X Games. Amazing snowboarders who are new to the sport — but are already becoming well known — are also included on this list of the best slopestyle snowboarders in the world. From current snowboarders to past legends, this list has it all.
The year 2014 was the first year that slopestyle snowboarding was included in the Winter Olympic Games. Although the competition was fierce, the gold medals went to the Americans, Sage Kotsenburg in the men’s event, and Jamie Anderson in the ladies’ event, earning them each a place on this list of the most amazing slopestyle snowboarders. In 2018, a young Redmond Gerard made a huge splash by securing the first gold medal for the United States at the Winter Olympics in South Korea.
The greatest slopestyle snowboarders aren’t all American, however, as was proven at the 2014 Winter X Games. Can anyone dispute the greatness of gold medal winners Maxence Parrot and Silje Norendal, who are from Canada and Norway, respectively? Norendal, in fact, beat out Anderson for the top spot in the women’s event; the best snowboarders in the world can’t ever afford to be off their game.
This list contains all of the best names in snowboarding who are actively competing. Some are young and will be the ones to watch in the coming years, while others are finishing up fantastic careers. Either way, they’re all welcome on this list of the best slopestyle snowboarders.
