Bootsy Thornton

Marvis Linwood "Bootsy" Thornton III (born July 30, 1977) is an American former professional basketball player.
After graduation from St. John's University, where he played for two years, Thornton moved to Italy, where he made a name for himself over the following decade. Thornton spent his most successful years with Montepaschi Siena for which he played on three occasions, winning as many national championship titles and being an All-EuroLeague Second Team selection in 2008.

Boo Harvey

Greg "Boo" Harvey is an American former basketball player who is best known for his collegiate career at St. John's University between 1987–88 and 1989–1990. He starred as the point guard for the Redmen, and as a senior was the recipient of both the Frances Pomeroy Naismith Award and Haggerty Award.

Alan Seiden

Al Seiden

Alan Seiden (May 1, 1937 – May 3, 2008) was an American collegiate and professional basketball player.  He led St. John's University to the 1959 National Invitation Tournament title and later played professionally with the Pittsburgh Rens of the American Basketball League.
Seiden was a New York City schoolboy star at Jamaica High School, leading his team to the PSAL title in 1955 as a senior.  He chose to stay close to home for college, playing for Hall of Fame coach Joe Lapchick at St. John's University.  Seiden became a star at St. John's, leading the Redmen to two straight National Invitation Tournaments in 1958 and 1959.  Seiden averaged 20.4 and 21.9 points per game as a junior and senior and ended his Redmen career with 1,374 points.  He served as team captain both seasonsIn 1959, Seiden led the Redmen to the NIT title as the unseeded 17–9 squad upset the field to win a tournament that was then seen as prestigious as the NCAA Tournament.  Seiden capped his senior season by being named a consensus second team All-American and won the Haggerty Award as the top player in the New York City metro area.After his college career ended, Seiden was drafted in the second round of the 1959 NBA draft by the St. Louis Hawks.  He failed to make the roster, and played for the next few years in the Eastern Professional Basketball League and in 1961 with the Pittsburgh Rens of the American Basketball League.Seiden died on May 3, 2008 of complications from stroke.In March 2011, he was inducted into the National Jewish Sports Hall of Fame.

Shelton Jones

Shelton Jones (born April 4, 1966) is a retired American professional basketball player who played collegiately at St. John's University. He was selected by the San Antonio Spurs in the second round (27th pick overall) of the 1988 NBA draft. Shelton played only one year in the NBA during the 1988-89 season, splitting time with the Spurs, Golden State Warriors and mainly, the Philadelphia 76ers, for whom he also appeared in the NBA Slam Dunk Contest, finishing on 4th place after advancing to the semi-finals. After the season, he was selected by the Minnesota Timberwolves as the 16th pick in the NBA Expansion Draft. After his selection, he said: "I'm a little stunned right now. I thought I'd be taken by Orlando because I'd heard some things. Things like this happen. That's the kind of year I had. I'll make the best of the situation. I look forward to getting out there and meeting with the coach. I don't even know who it is.". As it turned out, the Timberwolves waived him before the season began, and he never played in the NBA again.
Jones later founded the Shelton Jones Foundation, which "trains and mentors student-athletes to become successful in life through sports, community outreach and personal development".

Zendon Hamilton

Zendon Alphonso Hamilton (born April 29, 1975) is a former American professional basketball player and current assistant coach for the Texas Legends of the NBA G League. He played in the National Basketball Association from 2000 to 2006.

Shawnelle Scott

Shawnelle Scott (born June 16, 1972) is a retired American National Basketball Association (NBA) player. A 6'10" and 250 lbs. center, he was selected by the Portland Trail Blazers with the 43rd overall pick (second round) of the 1994 NBA draft.  His first two years of professional basketball were in the Continental Basketball Association for the Oklahoma City Cavalry and the Connecticut Pride.  He then played in four NBA seasons for three teams: Cleveland Cavaliers (1996-97 and 1997-98), San Antonio Spurs (2000-01), and Denver Nuggets (2001-02).
He currently is a high school basketball coach and Psychics teacher at Millennium High School (New York City) in New York City. 
Scott also played college basketball at St. John's University for four seasons.

Omar-Sharif Cook (born January 28, 1982) is an American-born, naturalized Montenegrin professional basketball player for Herbalife Gran Canaria of the Liga ACB. He was also member of the Montenegro national basketball team. He is widely known for bypassing the remaining 3 years of his college eligibility and entering the 2001 NBA draft after his freshman season. Prior to entering the draft he was considered a top 10 overall prospect by several NBA scouts.

Zeke Zawoluk

Robert Michael "Zeke" Zawoluk (October 13, 1930 – January 9, 2007) was an American professional basketball player.
A 6'7" forward/center from Saint Francis Prep and St. John's University, Zawoluk played three seasons (1952–1955) in the NBA as a member of the Indianapolis Olympians and Philadelphia Warriors.
