The Simpsons' St. Patrick's Day episode "Homer vs. The Eighteenth Amendment" – which aired during season eight – finds Homer dabbling in bootlegging after a prohibition movement takes over Springfield. Why would such a group settle in the city known for Moe's and Duff Beer? The initiative began after Bart accidentally got drunk at the St. Patty's Day Parade.
