List Rules Vote up the audiobooks that are best at keeping you on the edge of your seat.

The line between a good suspense novel and a thriller is a narrow one but, depending on your mood, can be important. Unlike thrillers, suspense relies more on a slower build of a story as characters are caught up in the plot. The best suspense audiobooks don't need to be thrilling or scary, they just keep you listening until you reach the end of the story, leaving you caught up in the tension while you commute, are at work, or just doing tasks around the house.

Some suspense books take advantage of other genres as well, such as the Northern Gothic Daughters of the Lake, or the speculative fiction The Back Door Man. Many great suspense audiobooks are about deep family dramas such as Searching for Sylvie Lee, Run Away, and Forgotten Secrets. There are even suspense books that are also mysteries.

Which of these suspense audiobooks will you download? Try Audible and get two free audiobooks - which makes it even easier to get caught up in the conflict. Vote for the suspense audiobooks you would recommend to other suspense lovers and add any must-listen books we might have missed.
