Featuring many of the Doors' top songs, the self-titled debut album The Doors is arguably the group's best album. Recorded live in the studio over just six days, The Doors album has received a range of fantastic reviews and achievements in the time since its release in 1967—selling over 20 million copies. Not only that, but the album has been ranked by Rolling Stone as one of the greatest albums of all time, and has even been inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame.

Though the Doors would release numerous hit albums after their debut, The Doors remains their best—and the same could be said about each song on the album. Easily their greatest hit "Light My Fire" finds itself on the album, as do other popular hits like "Break On Through", "Back Door Man", and the long and beautiful "The End". Simply put, the self-titled album is a great work from start to finish, living on as one of the greatest rock albums ever.
