This list includes studio albums only, so if you add an album make sure it's a proper studio release.
Since their inception, U2 have been one of the best bands of the '80s, best bands of the '90s and overall one of the best bands ever. Since they’re such an influential band, let’s rank the best U2 albums, with the help of your votes. Formed in Dublin, Ireland in 1976, U2 had very little practical musical skills, but were able to sign to Island Records by 1980 and subsequently released Boy (1980), October (1981), and War (1983).
This U2 discography is ranked from best to worst, so the top U2 albums can be found at the top of the list. To make it easy for you, we haven't included U2 singles, EPs, or compilations, so everything you see here should only be studio albums. If you think the greatest U2 album isn't high enough on the list, then be sure to vote for it so it receives the credit it deserves. Make sure you don't just vote for critically acclaimed albums; if you have a favorite U2 album, then vote it up, even if it's not necessarily the most popular.
This list includes every U2 studio album they've recorded, including The Joshua Tree (1987), Achtung Baby (1991) and more. This list of popular U2 CDs has been voted on by music fans around the world, so the order of this list isn't just one person's opinion.
