While vert skateboarding isn't as popular as it once was, the best vert skaters of all time will go down as some of the industry's best. Of course, there are still plenty of skaters pushing the limits of vert and transition skating today. While it may not be what it was through the 1990s and early 2000s, vert skating has a rich history and was somewhat resurrected with the birth of Danny Way's version of the mega ramp in 2002. In short, skateboarding's top vert riders are some of the best skateboarders of all time.
Now, when you think vert skating, you think Tony Hawk. The godfather of skateboarding took vert skating to a whole new level throughout his career, becoming the first to ever land a 900, among other huge feats. Then you have other vert greats like Bob Burnquist who always pushed the boundaries of what could be done, as well as X Games stars Pierre-Luc Gagnon, Andy MacDonald, and Bucky Lasek. Moreover, we can't forget longtime pros Steve Caballero and Christian Hosoi, both of which are considered complete legends.
