List Rules Vote for your favorite Water Pokemon, which doesn't necessarily have to be the strongest.

List of the best Water Pokemon, ranked by Pokemon Masters like you. This greatest Water Pokemon list includes monsters from every generation, so you can vote on everything from Blastoise to Swampert. Not every Pokemon included below is a pure Water type, as some are half water or secondary water types. Water Pokemon are traditionally very popular, as they are strong both offensively and defensively.

If you want to know, "What is the best Water Pokemon?" or "What are the top Water type Pokemon?" then you're in the right place. You can see other lists of the greatest Water Pokemon on other sites, but this is the only list that you can actually vote on and make your voice heard. If a Pokemon you love is missing, then feel free to add it at the bottom so it's included.

Manaphy is a small, blue, aquatic Pokémon with stubby feet and club-like arms that are longer than its body. It has a red gem on its chest and a yellow dot below the gem. Its onion-shaped head has a pair of long blue antennae, which have small spheres on the ends. Its irises are dark blue with yellow sclera, and there are two yellow dots of “eyelash” markings extending from the eyes.

Eighty percent of Manaphy's body is made of water. It is highly susceptible to its environment, and swims long distances to return to its birthplace. It is born with a special power that allows it to bond with any Pokémon. Manaphy can switch the perspective of people, and Pokémon, with each other using its former signature move, Heart Swap.

Seadra is listed (or ranked) 49 on the list The Best Water Pokemon of All Time
Scaarfii added

Seadra is a blue, seahorse-like Pokémon. It has a long snout and a two fin-like ridges curving over either side of its head. Its belly is covered with rough, cream-colored scales. Seadra's lower pectoral fins have sharp, pointed, cream-colored tips that exude venom. It also has a large, coiled tail.

Seadra can swim in any direction while facing forward by rapidly flapping its fins and tail. It catches its prey by spinning its body to create large whirlpools. When its prey is exhausted, Seadra swallows it whole using its long snout. Seadra's venom is toxic enough to induce fainting in humans, but is prized among practitioners of traditional medicine.

Seadra makes its nest by either wriggling between or anchoring itself to branches of coral under the ocean. After a female Seadra gives birth, the male Seadra will take care of the young. It is markedly vicious, and will mercilessly attack those who venture near its nest.
