If you’re looking for love, there’s no easier way to find that special someone than with the help of a good wingman (or wingwoman). Believe it or not, the term ‘wingman’ was first popularized in the 1986 film Top Gun. The term became a staple of pop culture with the quote, "You can be my wingman any time." Thanks, Tom and Val.

Who is your favorite fictional wingman? Barney Stinson from How I Met Your Mother always had Ted's back. It's easy to see why Ted and Barney were such good friends. Sometimes all he did was bring Ted over to a couple of ladies while saying, "Haaaaave you met, Ted?" and that was enough to seal the deal. Lisa from Weird Science is another classic example of a great wingwoman. Using her charm and influence, she helped Gary and Wyatt hook up with Deb and Hilly, who were basically the girls of their dreams.

These pals are always there for you, so be there for them by voting up all the characters you would want by your side.
