Following the 2022 XXL Freshman Class announcement, we're ranking all 15 XXL Freshman Classes from best to worst. Every year (except 2008), the hip hop magazine features the hottest up-and-coming rappers. While some have gone to have successful rap careers, others have fell off and disappeared. Which year had the best XXL Freshmen Class? What new XXL Freshman Class do you love?

While the 2016 XXL Freshman Class includes popular rappers, like Lil Uzi Vert, 21 Savage, Lil Dicky, and Lil Yachty, the 2011 XXL Freshmen had Kendrick Lamar, Meek Mill, YG, and Mac Miller. Other good XXL Freshman years are 2010 (J. Cole and Wiz Khalifa), 2014 (Chance the Rapper and Ty Dolla Sign), and 2012 (Future and Danny Brown).
