The Best ZZ Top Songs of All Time
List of the top ZZ Top songs, as voted on by fans like you. In one of the last interviews Jimi Hendrix did before his untimely death, he was asked if there were any new guitar players he admired. Jimi's answer? Billy Gibbons. Texas native and guitar firebrand Gibbons would spend the rest of the '70s proving why he'd caught Hendrix's eye with his three piece tex mex influenced power trio ZZ Top. Throughout that decade Gibbons and his chugging rhythm section of bassist Dusty Hill and drummer Frank Beard would crank out one dusty nugget of bluesy rock after another, always topped by one of Gibbons' searing guitar solos. They even managed to survive the sterile synth production of the '80s by contrasting it against the grit in Gibbons' guitar work.
