The Biggest Box Office Busts of All Time
Some movies just don't draw the crowds. Unfortunately for the film studios, that means major losses when the movies they've produced bring in a worldwide gross significantly lower than it cost to make them. What are biggest film flops? Titles like Cowboys & Aliens, The Lone Ranger, Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within, and The Adventures of Pluto Nash. have all been huge box office busts. Movies have the ability to make us feel. They make us want to believe, be inspired, and live vicariously through the stories we see on screen. But often movies that studios bet on to make us feel some sort of connection fail... big time. These biggest film flops provide the kind of escapism that studios hope people seek in entertainment. But often times it is simply the wrong property, or the wrong mix of actors, and the movie falls flat and fails to draw an audience. Or, the movie’s budget is so large, it simply can not make back its money. These movies may vary in their genre but they are all equally terrible and failed to earn big at the box office.
