So in case you haven't noticed, lurking beneath the slew of social media sites and straight-laced Internet news sites, there's some fantastically weird sh*t on the Internet. As it turns out, this fact hasn’t gone unnoticed by organizations such as BBC who mounted a bold search in back in 2014 to seek out the oddest, most unique, and all around gloriously random Internet communities known to man. Among them was discovered r/bridswitharms - a Reddit community of more than 80,000 people that’s unapologetically dedicated to the production of photos featuring birds with arms. That’s right, what started as a photo editing challenge back in 2008 has spiraled into a shameless hurricane of funny bird pictures featuring birds doing… well, whatever it is that birds would do if given the chance to wield human arms. Here you’ll find a collection of some of the more bizarrely brilliant examples of creativity that the group has churned out over the years, featuring birds doing everything from sword fighting to trimming hedges to showing off their super muscly bird arms.
So whether you too are a lover of birds with… well arms, or are just fascinated that a whole community of folks exists around such a premise, these bird photos are for you. Here you’ll get a fun look into what could’ve been had nature decided to deal the cards a bit differently.
