A fine line exists between superfan and stalker, and the weirdest celebrity memorabilia ever collected proves that point. Forget the autographs and the bobbleheads, this memorabilia allows fans to get up close and personal with their favorite stars. Yes, like bodily fluids close. From feces to urine to snot and even a kidney stone, nearly anything touched, used, or (ack) excreted by a famous person can be a money-maker these days. While maybe not quite the most expensive memorabilia out there, odd celebrity trinkets fetch more moola than you might think. Have a used tissue from a beautiful blonde actress? That'll get you $5,300. Find French toast partially eaten by a boy band stud? You just earned yourself $3,100 for that.
Just like the strangest celebrity eBay auctions, these wacky pieces of celebrity memorabilia show that people will buy just about anything belonging to a celebrity, regardless of how gross it might be.
William Shatner's Kidney Stone
In 2006, the online casino GoldenPalace.com became the lucky buyer of a real life kidney stone passed by none other than actor William Shatner. The Priceline.com spokesperson and Star Trek actor not only banked a cool $25,000 for the stone, but also included a surgical stint and string, both used to help him pass the stone, in the deal. Bonus: Shatner even gave advice on what to do with his kidney stone, since clearly there is only one way to show off such a find. He said, "The stone was so big, you'd want to wear it on your finger."
Michael Jackson's DNA Perfume
Extracting DNA got a bit weirder when someone allegedly extracted DNA from hair that belonged to the late pop singer Michael Jackson, and put it into a perfume. A company called My DNA Fragrance, true to its title, creates their scents using DNA from Jackson and celebrities like Samuel L. Jackson, Elvis, and others. What's that smell? Why, it's Jackson's newest fragrance, The Musk in the Mirror.
Britney Spears's Pregnancy Test
Because clearly pee-covered sticks apparently make the ultimate collectors' items, a used pregnancy test supposedly belonging to pop star Britney Spears hit the auction block in 2005. At the time, Spears and her then-husband Kevin Federline lived in a Los Angeles hotel, where the star allegedly took the test. While Spears gave birth to her first child later that year, the test sold to GoldenPalace.com for $5,001, which went to charity, a double positive situation.
Justin Timberlake's French Toast
Who cares about finding Jesus or the Virgin Mary in food when you can have half-eaten food from your favorite famous person. Such thoughts ran through the head of N-Sync fan Kathy Summers who spent $3,154 to own a piece of French toast partially eaten by pop hottie Justin Timberlake. This would be no breakfast treat for Summers though as she stated her plans for the memorabilia would be to "probably freeze-dry it, then seal it... then put it on my dresser." At least she's not letting it go to waste.
