I often see people say that Tabata didn't write Nozel as well as Byakuya and Itachi. That Nozel is just a cheap copy of their character.
I think Tabata wrote Nozel better because he DIDN'T justify his actions, whereas Kubo and Kishimoto justified Byakuya and Itachi's handling of their siblings.
…Tabata never tells us that Nozel had no other way out of his mess. Nozel was not cornered into his choice, he was not forced to treat Noelle like dirt. Instead, his personality stems from pure trauma caused by an outside source - and that's it. That's as far as the explanation goes
…He doesn't try to make us believe that Nozel is a hero for what he did. He writes that Nozel THOUGHT he was protecting Noelle, and he was wrong for doing so. No justification, no idolization of the older sibling, no vilifying of the younger sibling.
Yuno only levels up when he needs to be on the same level as Asta in a poorly written way with almost no character development (except the Golden Gone). Also, he's literally too perfect.
William is an awful person off of any metric you decide to [use]. The [Wizard King] is wrong, he did betray him and the kingdom. He deserves to be stripped from his title and executed. I don't care that “I was a cursed child and Patri was the only person who understood me.”
