This list of Black hockey players includes both active and retired athletes who have taken to the ice. There are many African-American hockey players in the NHL as well as many Black Canadian hockey players of African descent.

Bi-racial Afro-Canadian ice hockey player Grant Fuhr was the first Black hockey player to be inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame (in 2003) and the first to win the Stanley Cup. Fuhr played goaltender for the Edmonton Oilers and won the Stanley Cup four times in five seasons (1983-88). Eldon "Pokey" Reddick was another Black NHL player who won the Stanley Cup with the Oilers in 1990, and Dustin Byfuglien joined the ranks of Black and bi-racial Stanley Cup winners in 2010 with the Chicago Blackhawks.
