  • Burnout 3: Takedown

    Burnout 3: Takedown is noteworthy for being the first game in the series to feature Crashbreakers and Takedowns. With new Takedowns, you can create new ways to make your opponents spin out and burn. The game also featured many more vehicles (a total of 67) compared to its predecessors.

    You can select from Super, Sports, Coupe, Muscle, Heavyweight, Special, and Compact cars to race with. The game introduced actual vehicular violence as opposed to just engaging in dangerous driving, which really set the benchmark for the franchise going forward.

  • Burnout Revenge

    The fifth game in the series retains many of the elements of previous iterations, including Face-Off and Road Rage. However, this game introduces Crashbreaker and Traffic Attack modes. Crashbreaker allows you to blow up your own vehicle in order to damage surrounding cars while Traffic Attack makes your objective to cause as much destruction as possible on other cars.

    There are 79 vehicles you can race within this game. As one of the more popular releases for the Xbox and PS2, it remains one of the series' most acclaimed releases.

    The sixth game in the series is the first to include a seamless open-world landscape. When you enter multiplayer free-burn sessions, you don't have to deal with online lobbies or loading times, proving to be a big hit with fans. It's also noteworthy for being the first Burnout game to be released on the PC.

    There are 69 stock cars for you to race with. While the game was originally released in 2008, it was remastered and released on all the next-gen consoles in 2020, including a nifty new Switch release.

  • Burnout 2: Point of Impact

    The second game in the series brought some new modes to the franchise, including Crash, Point to Point, and Pursuit. The game also improved upon the roster of vehicles you had at your disposal, bringing out vehicles like the Japanese Muscle, the Gangster, and the Hot Rod. 

    While Point of Impact was released on the PS2, GameCube, and Xbox, the Xbox version includes 21 new car skins and 15 additional crash junctions.
