    Kayak In La Jolla

    From Redditor u/mwhite1249:

There was lots of street stuff in Ocean Beach when I lived there. Also, Bates Nut Farm is a nice excursion, especially in the fall when they do a corn maze and have pumpkins. Kayak in La Jolla; there are rents, caves to explore, and a breakwater so you're not getting smashed with waves. There's also an active archery club that maintains a nice 50+ target walking range in Balboa Park, a hidden wonder because most people don't even know it's there.

Spend Some Time On the Water

    From Redditor u/buttrumpus:

My #1 recommendation is to get on a sailboat and spend some time on the water. There’s a reason the San Diego Yacht Club is in the top three for America’s Cup wins. No better way to see the city.

Drive Highway 1 through Big Sur.

Surely the most beautiful way to get from [San Francisco] to LA.

    Take your time.

Visit The Happiest City In America

    From Redditor u/deku12345:

If you're going from San Francisco to LA, about halfway through is a little college town called San Luis Obispo. It was voted the happiest city in America and third happiest in the world. It has fantastic food, great hikes, a beautiful, active downtown, and is really close to the beach. It has a really fun nightlife as well.

See Imperial Beach In San Diego

    From Redditor u/jaymez619:

Check out Imperial Beach and its pier. Bike from there up the strand to Hotel del Coronado, Coronado Beach, and the Coronado ferry landing. Take the ferry from Coronado to downtown and explore Seaport Village and the Gaslamp District. Make your way to Balboa Park, Old Town, and Point Loma (Cabrillo Nat'l Monument). Then Ocean Beach, Mission Beach/Bay, Pacific Beach, La Jolla, Carlsbad.
