Captain America: The First Avenger was Marvel Studios' first jab at a genre film within a prescribed genre. This period-accurate superhero film (well, as accurate as any superhero film can be) is both stylistically unique and dripping in sepia tone, creating the perfect environment to sneak in a treasure trove of details that add to the environment but are incredibly easy to miss. Each detail adds and never distracts from the core plot of the film, making it that much richer of an experience.
