All good things must come to an end and with the final scene of Avengers: Endgame, so does the story of Captain Steve Rogers, AKA Captain America. Through The First Avenger, The Winter Soldier, and Civil War, Captain America has been a vanguard for morality and decency in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Directors Joe Johnston and the Russo Brothers, Anthony and Joe Russo, managed to craft a trilogy of superhero films that, while enhanced by The Avengers films, tell a rich and complete story of a soldier out of his time and occasionally socially out of his depths.

This is a collection of small details from the Captain America trilogy. Did you manage to catch these details on your first viewing? Vote up the details you missed when watching the Captain America films!

Redditor u/Jai427 spotted this tiny detail:

In Captain America: Civil War prior to the Sokovia Accords, Steve has his Avengers logo [on his uniform], but later at the airport scene you can see he removed it.

Blink and you'll miss this detail. Eagle-eyed Redditor u/UNITBlackArchive noticed that the Howling Commandos all wear an insignia similar to the wings on Captain America's helmet.

'The First Avenger' Has Some Cool Geographic Continuity

In addition to being considered the oldest town in Norway (thanks u/pillbinge), Tønsberg is the site of Odin and the Asgardian's battle with the Frost Giants from the prologue of Thor. This detail was pointed out by Redditor u/comrade_batman.

Redditor u/IDontHaveAName666 brought notice to a very missable detail in the background of Steve's office in Captain America: Civil War at the Avengers facility. You can see a drawing of a performing monkey dressed as Captain America taped to the window that he drew in Captain America: The First Avenger. Considering the drawing is well over 80 years old, it's in excellent shape. Either that or Captain Rogers drew an updated version following his escape from the ice.

Americans know all about what happened at the Watergate Hotel, which was a massive conspiracy uncovered that led to the resignation of President Richard Nixon. There's a similar conspiracy happening in The Winter Soldier, and fortunately, those shots of the white, circular buildings imply that Nick Fury is right about Hydra. From Redditor u/flamefoxx99:

In Captain America: Winter Soldier, right before the elevator fight scene and the revelation of a conspiracy inside SHIELD, the shot frames the elevator with the Watergate complex in the background. This was where the Watergate conspiracy was first exposed, too.

Captain Rogers missed quite a few Super Bowls, unfortunately. A quick glimpse at his short but sweet list of things to catch up on really paints him as the old-timer he is. From Redditor u/jayone675:

In Captain America: The Winter Soldier, the only item crossed off Capitan America’s list of things to catch up on after being frozen is Star Wars.

Fun bit of trivia: The items on the list change depending on the country you watched The Winter Soldier in!
