In Sony Pictures' Spider-Man spin-off Venom, starring Tom Hardy as Eddie Brock, we at long last, get a quick glimpse of fan-favorite Carnage on the big screen. In the post credits of Venom, we saw that Cletus Kasady – psychopath, lunatic, serial killer, and madman – is played by Woody Harrelson, who we'll see more of in the anticipated release of Venom 2. But who else could have taken on the role?
He may already be associated with a comic property, but he was wearing a mask, for the most part (Rorschach in Watchmen). This guy is terrifying, has the look, and a great voice for the character.
He might be a little too attached to The Dark Knight mythos, but just one look from this guy can put you on edge. He's played crazy well in the past, and with the right script, could make a great Carnage.
It might be a bit of typecasting here, but Hall is the right age, hair color, and has the look. He has that distinct voice, a fan following, and yes, is no stranger to playing serial killers.
