  • Zack Morris was scheming, amusing, and his friend A.C. often called him preppy. Time out! Did we just say preppy? We meant cool and charming. He is also fondly remembered for introducing the world to those Zack Morris brick phones.

Gosselaar's character started off in a short-lived Disney sitcom, Good Morning, Miss Bliss, which later turned into Saved by the Bell. In 2001, Gosselaar joined the cast of NYPD Blue and played Detective John Clark for four years. In 2011, he starred in the TNT series Franklin & Bash.

Gosselaar revealed during an interview with People that he dated his three female co-stars while Saved by the Bell was in production. He married former model Lisa Ann Russell in 1996, and they had two children. The couple divorced in 2011, and Gosselaar married advertising executive Catorina McGinn in 2012. They also have two children together.

  • Bayside High's star athlete, A.C. was the quarterback of the football team, an excellent wrestler, and even on the basketball team in one episode. A.C. was originally written as Zack's rival for Kelly Kapowski's affection, but he became Zack's friend and developed a strong attraction to Jessie Spano, who often criticized him for his insensitive remarks.

Lopez took some time off after all the Saved by the Bell spin-offs before returning in 1997 to star as Olympic diver Greg Louganis in Breaking the Surface, a TV movie about the legendary athlete. In 2006, he joined The Bold and the Beautiful and in the fall of that year, signed on as a contestant on Dancing with the Stars. He would finish in second place.

Lopez has also served as host on a number of shows, including The X-Factor, America's Best Dance Crew, and Extra. He is married to Broadway dancer Courtney Mazza and has two kids. In 2018, he was named father of the year.

  • The fashionista and gossiper of Bayside High, Lisa was friends with Zack since grade school. There was also some suggestion that she had a small crush on him. One of the running gags of the show was Screech's unsuccessful attempts to woo Lisa, who often responded to him with insults and jokes.

Following Saved, Voorhies guest starred on The Bold and the Beautiful in 1995 but was released a year later when she refused to act in sex scenes, citing her religious beliefs as a Jehovah's Witness.

Voorhies also guest-starred on Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, Family Matters, and The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. She has also written several books. In 2015, she opened up about her battle with lupus and denied reports that she had been diagnosed with bipolar disorder.

  • Hey, hey, hey, hey, what is going on here? Bayside High School principal Mr. Belding's catchphrase, that's what. Known for his high-pitched laugh and frequent run-ins with Zack, Mr. Belding genuinely seemed to care what his students, especially Zack, thought about him.

In August 2009, Haskins released his first album, Karaoke With Your Favorite Principal Dennis, on which he sings "California Dreamin'," "Brown Eyed Girl," "Georgia," and more. Haskins has also continued to guest star on TV series and in movies and had a role in A Million Ways to Die in the West as the Snake Oil Salesman.

  • Lifelong friend of Zack, Screech, Lisa, and Kelly, Jessie was a strong feminist and possibly the smartest person in their group of friends. She lived next door to Zack and was regularly visited by him when he climbed through her bedroom window. Despite her intelligence, she did experience her share of challenges.

Berkley quickly followed her Saved by the Bell stint by starring in Paul Verhoeven's NC-17 film Showgirls as exotic dancer Nomi Malone. She married artist Greg Lauren in late 2003 and made her Broadway debut opposite Richard Dreyfus in 2004 in Sly Fox. She has guest-starred on TV shows including CSI: Miami, NYPD Blue, and Law & Order: Criminal Intent.

In 2006, Berkley also started an online self-help website called Ask Elizabeth, which seeks to empower teenage girls. In July 2012, Berkley gave birth to her first child, a son, born eight days before her 40th birthday.

  • The most popular girl at Bayside High, Kelly was the head cheerleader and captain of the volleyball, swim, and softball teams. Her relationship with Zack was one of the show's main draws. Despite being a bit of an airhead at times, she was a straight-A student.

Following Saved, Thiessen landed the role of Valerie Malone on Beverly Hills, 90210, after Shannen Doherty left. She later appeared in films such as From Dusk Til Dawn 2 and The Ladies Man, and in TV shows such as NewsRadio, Two Guys and a Girl, and Good Morning, Miami.

In 2009, she began a recurring role on the USA Network series White Collar. Thiessen married actor Brady Smith in 2005, and they have two children together - but the couple has said that's all.
