There have been a lot of cringeworthy moments from celebrities who didn't understand - or didn't care about - the seriousness of the pandemic. Many stars, however, have been involved with relief efforts, whether paying salaries to people out of work, donating masks to hospitals, or waiving rent fees for tenants.

Oprah Winfrey gave a whopping $10 million to relief efforts, and she is far from the only star who has put her money where her mouth is. Read on for some heartwarming examples of celebrities giving back when we need it the most.

The former cast of Community and creator Dan Harmon announced they were reuniting for a virtual table read on May 18, 2020, to raise support for José Andrés’ World Central Kitchen and Frontline Foods - corporations that provide fresh meals to first responders and vulnerable communities. Variety confirmed that Joel McHale, Gillian Jacobs, Danny Pudi, Yvette Nicole Brown, Alison Brie, Jim Rash, Ken Jeong, and Donald Glover - who left the series midway through the fifth season - agreed to read Season 5, episode 4, "Cooperative Polygraphy."

After the show, the cast will stick around for a Q&A. Fans can submit their questions using the hashtag #AskCommunity and tag @CommunityTV. Sony Pictures Television donated to both José Andrés’ World Central Kitchen and Frontline Foods on behalf of the show, and also asks fans to donate at wck.org/community. Prior to the reunion, McHale has already partnered with Frontline Foods to deliver meals to hospital workers in Los Angeles, New York, and Detroit.

On April 20, Jennifer Aniston posted about the opportunity on her Instagram for fans to enter to join the cast at the studio where they will film the HBO reunion special.

    Aniston wrote

Be our personal guests in the audience for the taping where you'll get to see us all together again for the first time in ages, as we reminisce about the show and celebrate all of the fun we had. PLUS, sip a cup of coffee with us in Central Perk, and get the Friends VIP experience on the Warner Bros. Studio Tour.

All you have to do is donate to the relief fund to be entered to win. All of the proceeds go to No Kid Hungry, Meals On Wheels, and America's Food Fund.

Pink also posted on April 13, 2020, about making homemade food and delivering it to those in need. "It is my absolute pleasure to cook for you. Find your local church, find your local shelter, reach out to them, get some friends together, and cook some soup. Feed some folks. Best soup I ever made," she wrote.
