Celebrities who ran track in high school might not look like the athletic type but once upon a time when they were much younger, these actors, singers and other famous people were members of their high school track and field or cross country teams. Just like the celebrities who played football in high school, many of these stars might have had the potential to pursue a professional career as an athlete but certainly found success elsewhere.
As crazy as it might sound, some of our favorite actors like Bill Cosby, Robin Williams and Dana Carvey along with legendary musicians like Bob Seger and Alice Cooper, all had a passion for track and field as a kid. The same goes for comedian Dana Carvey, singer Sheryl Crow, actor Luke Wilson and actress Gabrielle Union, each of which participated in track while in school.
Many of these famous people who ran track in high school continue to run as adults. "Community" actor Danny Pudi has been recognized for his love of running while rapper and entertainment mogul Sean "Diddy" Combs recently completed a marathon to raise money for charity. Not all of these celebrities who ran track in school are still in shape to run now but at one point in time running was their thing.
