Celebrity Posses You Wish You Could Hang Out With

843 votes 256 voters 8.6k views25 items

For a major celebrity, one of the most important parts of creating your own personal brand is to put together the biggest group of celebrity friends that you can. Regular people are all well and good until you hit the big time, but then you need a celebrity posse to back you up. Who else can understand what it's like to be a famous person better than other famous people?

Being a part of a celebrity posse goes far beyond having someone to vacation with, once you're in a celebrity crew it's almost expected that you'll start working with your celebrity friend group. In that instance, it makes sense to build the biggest friend circle that you can. That way, the work never stops (and you're working with your friends, which is always nice). There are so many celebrity friend groups that a lot of them start to overlap (and how could they not, what with Taylor Swift taking up all the prime Hollywood friend real estate?). To help you keep all of the intertwining celebrity groups straight, here is a handy list of the best celebrity posses.

Famous cliques and posses aren’t a new phenomenon. Since the days of the Rat Pack famous friends have been getting together to hang out and run amok across Los Angeles, New York, and where ever else famous people hang out. The celebrity cliques on this list range from independent filmmakers, to weirdo hip-hop artists, and comedians who’ve managed to take over the film industry. While you check out these celebrity posses, start working on a pros and cons list of the high powered men and women that you want in your celebrity squad.

G.O.O.D Music is a musical collective that centers around Kanye West and features such magnificent artists as John Legend, Kid Cudi, Pusha T, and Q-Tip. These guys mostly collaborate on music together, so if you want to hang you better figure out which recording studio they're in.

These A-List gals are led by Cameron Diaz and they do everything that you'd think a classy celebrity lady would do. They go to cooking class together, and they even go to Napa on vacation sometimes. All of the gals in this clique (Drew Barrymore, Leslie Mann, Sofia Vergara, Nicole Richie, and Reese Witherspoon) live in rarified air so you don't have to worry about ever running it them.

Taylor Swift runs this crew, which features Karlie Kloss, Lena Dunham, The Haim sisters, Jaime King, Lorde, and Emma Stone, among others. Swift also inaugurated Julia Roberts and folk singer/actual living legend Joan Baez on stage in Santa Clara during a show on the 1989 tour. When Swift isn't bringing her squad on stage with her, she takes them vacationing in Catalina, and to Target.
