UPDATED: Check out the celebrities who got married in 2020!

There's nothing quite like a celebrity wedding. Celebs have the money to spare to go all out, and often also realize there's good press in sharing pictures or announcements of their marriage, though it's often well after the fact. It doesn't matter when they share it; news about celebrities getting married is some of the most fun celebrity news. Who wore what? Was it a private ceremony in a vineyard with "close family and friends," or a lavish affair that makes the wedding in Crazy Rich Asians look basic? This list of 2019 celebrity weddings will keep you up to date on your favorite celebrity couples and what celebrities got married this year.

Check this list periodically throughout the year to learn about recent celebrity weddings and the latest celebrity marriages in 2019. And, if you're curious about other weddings to look forward to, see what celebs got engaged in 2019 and vote on which stars you hope get back together (ideally with a walk down the aisle).

Though neither of the stars' representatives responded to a request for comment, the two were spotted picking up a marriage license back in August (as reported by the Daily Mail.) Furthermore, both wore new jewelry on their left-hand ring fingers whilst attending the red carpet premier of Queen and Slim. Turner-Smith wore a diamond ring, and Jackson had a gold wedding band.

Writer-actor-producer Lena Waithe appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show on November 15, 2019, with romantic news for guest host John Legend: she and her fiancée, film executive Alana Mayo, had recently married with a secret courthouse ceremony in San Francisco.

The two had been engaged since Thanksgiving of 2017, when Waithe proposed to Mayo during a trip to Tokyo. Although the exact date of the wedding was not revealed in the interview, she did note the significant location: "right in front of" a statue of Harvey Milk, the first openly gay elected official in the history of California.
