Dynasty star Liz Gillies married composer Michael Corcoran on August 8th, with Liz making the announcement via a series of instagram posts featuring the couple in their wedding attire and during the ceremony, simply captioning them "8•8•20."
The couple originally planned to marry on planned to get married on April 25, but delayed the nuptials due to the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. Said Gillies to Vogue, " It would have been in poor taste to burden people by asking them to risk their lives to come to our wedding." They eventually decided to scale down the ceremony as well for safety reasons.
Niecy Nash and Jessica Betts
Actress and comedian Niecy Nash and singer Jessica Betts are married. The couple announced their relationship and their wedding through a series of beautiful wedding photos on Instagram. Nash and Betts look so happy in every picture, with Betts writing, "I got a whole wife. #Bettsofbothworlds #LoveWins"
Sean Penn and Leila George, who have been together since 2016, tied the knot over Zoom during the first weekend of August. Penn followed up on Late Night with Seth Meyers, saying, "We did a COVID wedding. By that I mean it was a county commissioner on Zoom and we were at the house, my two children and her brother. And we did it that way."
CeCe Gutierrez And Byron Scott
Basketball Wives star CeCe Gutierrez and former Lakers coach Byron Scott tied the knot in a private ceremony on July 11, 2020. They live-streamed the ceremony for friends and family due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Both shared the news on Instagram, with a series of posts from their big day. Scott captioned a series of photos, "Today was a good day..." and Gutierrez wrote, "Today I married the love of my life, my best friend, my soulmate..."
