Marvin Gaye’s Family Wins Lawsuit Against Robin Thicke and Pharrell Over “Blurred Lines”
Gaye’s family received $7.4 million after a jury determined Robin Thicke and Pharrell’s “Blurred Lines” was very similar to Gaye’s 1977 “Got to Give it Up.” Thicke, Pharrell, and T.I. said that the song was “not taken from anyone or anywhere else.”
Carrey is a well known "anti-thimerosal/anti-mercury” kind of guy. When California Gov. Jerry Brown signed a bill to remove the majority of the state’s vaccination exemptions, Carrey went on a Twitter tirade. “California Gov says yes to poisoning more children with mercury and aluminum in manditory [sic] vaccines. This corporate fascist must be stopped.” Perhaps in his rush to make his point, Carry tweeted an image of a young boy with autism to underline his claims that vaccines cause autism. The child’s parents were furious. "I didn't mean to cause them distress," Carrey later Tweeted.

Sports fans later learned that the team may have used deflated footballs to give them an edge. In July of 2015, Brady received a four-game suspension after a lengthy investigation revealed Brady destroyed his cellphone, text messages, and “other electronic information” that could have been a cover up in #deflategate.
Brady disagreed with NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell’s ruling. The NFLPA filed suit against the NFL on Brady’s behalf to vacate the suspension. ”I disagree with yesterday's narrative surrounding my cellphone. I replaced my broken Samsung phone AFTER my attorneys made it clear to the NFL that my actual phone device would not be subjected to investigation under any circumstances," Brady said in a written statement. "I have never written, texted, emailed to anybody at any time, anything related to football air pressure… to suggest that I destroyed a phone to avoid giving the NFL information it requested is completely wrong.” He further shocked fans by replacing his Samsung with an iPhone.
