A new development in CGI programming has the internet buzzing, and it stands to revolutionize the way people visualize history.

Digital imaging combined with forensic anthropology creates the ability to literally see these historical figures for the very first time. The juxtaposition of CT scan technology with old plaster death mask relics is a trip, but it's been a stunning collaboration, as the video shows.

These uncanny depictions of famous historical figures like King Tut and Copernicus are breathtakingly natural and illuminate so much depth around people that sometimes seem almost mythically lost to time.
