The Rock Says He's Training Harder Than He Ever Has For New Superhero Role

There's an arms race going on in Hollywood. Literally. As more and more stars get cast to lead superhero and action franchises, there has never been more need for those stars to get buff.

Among the most prominent has been comedian Kumail Nanjiani, who posted a pic on Twitter of his newly ripped body as he prepared to film the Marvel movie The Eternals. But plenty of stars haven't gotten in on the action, and this week, we got two of the biggest.

On Monday, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, who has made a living off of being big and strong, posted a photo to his Instagram showing off the muscles he has developed working on the new superhero movie Black Adam. Even for The Rock, it was impressive.

"Been working extremely hard dieting, training and conditioning unlike any other role of my entire career," he wrote in the caption.

Not to be outdone, Chris Hemsworth posted a pic on his Instagram account Wednesday in celebration of the end of filming on Thor: Love and Thunder. It didn't take long for the internet to notice his massive arms, certainly befitting the God of Thunder.

"That’s a wrap on Thor Love and Thunder. It’s also national don’t flex day so I thought this super relaxed photo was appropriate," Hemsworth joked in the caption.

Scroll down far enough in the comments, and you'll find The Rock there, congratulating Hemsworth on the movie, but probably also on the muscles.

Ball's in your court now, Paul Rudd.
