Christina Aguilera's tattoos honor the people in her life that are most important to her and remind her of how far she's come in the entertainment industry. Aguilera has at least five tattoos, with special meanings or memories.
Similar to other starlets that have tattoos, such as Rihanna's tattoos or Angelina Jolie's tattoos, Aguilera has tattoos in another language. Two, one on her arm and the other on her lower back, are in Hebrew and discuss love as does one in Spanish that pays tribute to her former husband Jordan Bratman.
In addition to a flower tattoo on her wrist, Aguilera reportedly has a tattoo of Mickey Mouse on her hip. Though photographic evidence of that tattoo is hard to find, it reportedly reminds Aguilera of how she got her start in the business, as a member of the "Mickey Mouse Club."
Aguilera came from humble beginnings with her early career including singing the national anthem at sporting events and an appearance on "Star Search" which led to her spot on the Disney series. Just like fellow stars Justin Timberlake and Britney Spears, Aguilera burst onto the pop music scene in the late 1990s and early 2000s.
In the years since, she's become an accomplished singer, songwriter, producer, actress and dancer, not to mention sex symbol. Now, Aguilera is the divorced mom of a son but still remains active in the industry as a judge on the reality show "The Voice."
Like other celebrities with tattoos, Aguilera's tattoos tell a story of where's she's been, what she's accomplished and how far she's come from that little girl from Staten Island to an award-winning international pop star. Now it's finally time to answer the question, what's the meaning behind Christina Aguilera tattoos?
Paying homage to her nickname, Christina Aguilera has the name "Xtina" tattooed in simple gray ink on the back of her neck. Aguilera is believed to have coined that nickname herself to describe an alter ego.
Placed on the side of her wrist right where the hand meets the arm, Aguilera has a very basic flower tattoo. Not a conventional flower, this tattoo includes three swirls that form a triangle with one straight line in between.
Sitting in the "tramp stamp" location, Aguilera has an excerpt from Hebrew psalm tattooed on her lower back. The tattoo translate to state something along the lines of "I am my beloved's and my beloved is mine" or "I am to my beloved what my beloved is to me."
Rarely spotted let alone photographed, the singer reportedly has a Mickey Mouse tattoo just below her bikini line on her hip. Just like fellow pop stars Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake, Aguilera appeared on the "Mickey Mouse Club" in the 1990s.
Spanish for "I love you always," Aguilera has the phrase "Te Amo Siempre" tattooed on the inner part of her left elbow in red lettering. Also nearby she has the letter Yud and Bet which are Hebrew for the initials of her ex-husband Jordan Bratman.
