Musicians often pass at a young age and, unfortunately, there are many country singers who died young. Various accidents and illnesses have resulted in some beloved country singers perishing before their time. Some famous country musicians who died young were in plane crashes while others died of ailments like cancer. A few famous country singers who died young struggled with addiction.

Hank Williams died on January 1, 1953 at the age of 29 in a car on his way to a concert venue in Ohio. In 2016, Joey Feek died as a result of cervical cancer at the age of 40.  Patsy Cline died in a plane crash at 30. Other famous country musicians who died young include Tammy Wynette, Mindy McCready, and Troy Gentry.
