Turns out some denizens from a galaxy from far, far away possibly visited Earth over 200 million years ago. Okay, not really, but the horseshoe crab fossil in this video does look a lot like Darth Vader.

Discovered in Idaho, this ancient fossil resembles the helmet worn by one of cinema's most recognizable villains. Naturally, the people behind the discovery decided to name the fossil after Vader.

Dating back to the Triassic period, the fossil appears to be the first of its kind in North America. It has since become one of the many things influenced by the classic visage of Darth Vader, whose looks even inspired the Fantastic Four's arch nemesis, Doctor Doom.

Watch the video below to find out this little destroyer's official scientific name. Do you think it looks anything like Vader, or is this a bigger joke than Jar Jar?
