For 10 seasons the NBC mega hit comedy Friends dominated both television ratings and popular culture. From 1994 to 2004, Joey (Matt LeBlanc), Chandler (Matthew Perry), Ross (David Schwimmer), Rachel (Jennifer Aniston), Monica (Courteney Cox), and Phoebe (Lisa Kudrow) were not just best friends on television, but became best friends for the millions of fans who tuned into their sitcom every week. The landscape of the situation comedy has changed a lot over the past decade, but there are still some great sitcoms on television. There will never be another Friends, but there is television similar to Friends. Here’s a list of shows fans of Friends would like.

Some of the items on this list are TV shows like Friends. Although the tone in Grace & Frankie, Baskets, and Silicon Valley is vastly different from the love fest setting in Friends, the foundation of those shows are similar. At their fundamental core, they are about the relationship between pals and the family that is created not by blood, but by companionship.

Of course, there are a couple shows on this list that actually star cast members from Friends. For fans of Joey Tribbiani, Matt LeBlanc plays a parody version of himself in Episodes. He even won the Best Actor in a Comedy Golden Globe for the role in 2011. Additionally, Matthew Perry currently plays the Oscar Madison, half of the mismatched pair from The Odd Couple.

Some of the shows that made this list are on here just because they’re funny. Modern Family and Transparent are hilarious, well-written programs that any fan of comedy will truly appreciate.

Vote up for the current TV shows in 2017-2019 that you think Friends fans would love and add any others that are sure to entertain the most avid Friends fans out there.
