Comic book movies have become one of the most popular genres of film in the 21st century, and it seems a new one is being released every other month. Not that we're complaining since most of them are excellent films! That said, while they often involve superheroes and overcoming tragedy, many of them are actually pretty dark and disturbing, and no, that's not just Batman movies.
Of course, not everything that happens on the screen is immediately apparent to every viewer (like these background details in superhero movies). Sometimes, a dark detail emerges after fans take a close look at each scene in a movie and pick them apart, leading to some interesting details.
