Listen To Your Significant Other's Frustrations
From Redditor /u/fuddydudd:
The first time I ever got really frustrated with [my partner], I was terrified to tell him because with all my exes (especially the most recent one), anytime I expressed my feelings it always turned into a huge, giant, knock down drag out fight... Somehow I always ended up being the one apologizing, even though my ex did something that I felt was incredibly hurtful and I wasn't looking forward to that again.
When I expressed my frustration with my S.O., he was very calm and just said, "I love you very much, and while it wasn't my intention to make you upset, that doesn't mean my actions didn't do that anyway. Can you tell me more about what happened?"
It was literally a 10-minute discussion and he was so respectful, while also holding me accountable for making sure I approached him with my frustrations maturely and treated him as an equal partner. It was really sweet and that's how it's been ever since.

Be Passionate About Something
From Redditor /u/nyvz:
Be nerdy and tell me about yourself and what you like! I might not be into it, but seeing someone who is really passionate about something is appealing.

Make Her Laugh

I love witty guys. I'm a super shy, anxious person but laughter really makes me feel better. I wish a guy would be bold and make me laugh.

Don't Act Differently To Impress Someone
From Redditor /u/nomdeplume818:
Don’t act differently to impress me. Don’t just say “cool” to what I say, ask questions... if you can’t be actually interested in me, why are you trying to get with me? Also, if you just say, “Would you like to maybe get coffee with me sometime?” and I like you the answer will be yes - it’s that easy!

Don't Have One-Sided Conversations
From Redditor /u/Infojunkie996:
Be respectful AND cool, like Dwayne Johnson. Being just cool makes you look cold and apathetic, major turn off, but fixable. Also, compliments are memorable things, make her feel good and she'll love your company. And make the effort to say hi as you pass her and initiate conversations, 'cause if you don't she'll take it as a sign that you don't like talking to her.
And ask her questions too, don't talk about yourself all the time. It makes you look self-absorbed, and I've been intimidated by a guy once because he bragged too much and it made me feel like he's out of my league, even if he did like me. Basically, don't have one-sided convos, ask her what she likes to do in her free time, etc. Ultimately, after getting to know her, ask her if she wants to get coffee with you sometime.
Oh almost forgot, don't ignore her either. We're beginning an era of mutual respect, and ignoring someone is disrespectful. Good luck out there guys.

Know How To End A Date
From Redditor /u/justsayinyall11:
There is no greater feeling at the end of a date than when a man says, "I really like you, and I'd like to spend more time with you. When can I see you again?" So many dates end in a wishy-washy "OK bye now" type of way - when a man says what he wants and what he wants is me I melt.
