11 Supposedly Real Audio Recordings Of Demons

Although films like The Exorcist and The Conjuring feature demons in full form, alleged reports of demon encounters often show up in the form of audio recordings. While it might be easy to write off these recordings as no more than hoaxes, some of them can be outright disturbing for those who believe in demons and the devil.

Below we'll examine some recordings of supposed demons, ranging from an anonymous person's iPhone recording to famous cases like the Enfield Poltergeist and Lizzie Borden.

In 2007, homeowners in Philadelphia began complaining about unsettling noises coming from their basement. The couple eventually decided to set up digital recorders but didn't pick up anything for three nights.

At 3:12 am on the fourth night, the recorders picked up what they believe was a demonic entity. Skeptics speculated that the audio was taken from the video game Sad Satan, but that game wasn't released until eight years after this audio was originally recorded.

Anneliese Michel was a German woman who led a tragically short life. Due to an extreme misdiagnosis of her epilepsy and mental health issues, Michel was sent to a Catholic priest for an exorcism. Throughout 1975 and 1976, Michel underwent 67 exorcism sessions, sometimes enduring two a week, until she died of malnutrition and dehydration. At the time of her death, Michel weighed 68 pounds and couldn't move without assistance.

Her parents and the two bishops who performed the rites were charged with negligent homicide, and during their trials, tapes of her exorcisms were played, revealing the sounds of Michel speaking in a demonic voice and identifying herself as Lucifer, Cain, Judas Iscariot, Hitler, and Nero. The bishops believe that she was finally freed of the demonic spirits just before her death.

The case of the Enfield Poltergeist took place from 1977 to 1979 in the London town of Enfield, where a family of five allegedly suffered at the hands of an angry spirit. The family's two daughters, 13-year-old Margaret and 11-year-old Janet, seemed to be the spirit's primary targets.

The hauntings ran the gamut of poltergeist activity: Chairs moved, children levitated, and the family reported hearing demonic voices. Apparently, the two girls were both known to speak in low, male voices that their family interpreted as demonic.

Debate persists as to whether or not the family's claims were genuine, but the recordings of Margaret and Janet speaking in voices not their own are nevertheless disturbing.

Sometime in the 1980s, an allegedly possessed woman named Rebecca called in to a show on KATB Christian Radio in South Alaska to describe how her body was taken over by a demon. Rebecca also claimed that her mother was planning on sacrificing her to Satan on Halloween.

At about the 22-minute mark, a demon named "the Keeper" or "the Guardian" begins to speak through the young woman with a raspy voice. At one point, "the Keeper" becomes enraged, as it can supposedly sense all of the people listening to the radio and praying for Rebecca.
