Duncan Lloyd

Duncan Lloyd is a singer-songwriter and guitarist from the U.K.
He is the lead songwriter and backing vocalist for Maxïmo Park. He also works as a solo artist releasing albums on Warp Records (U.K.) and Crash Symbols (U.S.). He works under the name, 'Decade In Exile' as well as his own name. He is also in the experimental band Res Band from Derby and alternative rock band Nano Kino.
Alongside songwriting Lloyd is an exhibiting painter and photographer.

White Town

White Town is the solo project of Indian-born British musician Jyoti Mishra.

Bivouac

Bivouac were a British alternative rock band from Derby who were active in the 1990s. They released two albums on the independent label Elemental, before being signed by DGC/Geffen for the 1995 album Full Size Boy.

Cable

Cable were a British indie rock band originally from Derby, UK who released 3 albums in the late '90s: Down-Lift the Up-Trodden, When Animals Attack, and Sub-Lingual, on Infectious Records. The band split up in 1999.
Formed in 1992 by Matt Bagguley and Darius Hinks, Cable were initially inspired by the art-rock leanings of indie-labels such as Touch and Go, Dischord, Blast First, Southern Records and Shimmy Disc, and also UK artists such as Spacemen 3 & My Bloody Valentine. The first settled line-up was Matt Bagguley, Darius Hinks, Pete Darrington, Neil Cooper and throughout 1993 the band played regularly with underground acts from the U.S In early '94 their debut single "Sale of the Century" was released on 7", by Derby-based indie-label Krunch! Records. Radio 1 DJ John Peel played it immediately on his show saying it was the best thing he'd heard that week and phoned the band during the show to invite them to record a session. John Peel remained a loyal fan from that moment on, and altogether the band recorded 4 Peel Sessions.

Lightyear

Lightyear were a UK 7-piece ska punk band. They formed in 1997 in Derby, England.
They signed to Household Name Records in 2001, and the band released two full-length albums via the label. During their career, Lightyear also released a split EP with friends Evil Macaroni, a 'demo' and contributed to several international punk compilation CDs.

The Beyond

The Beyond were a progressive metal band from Derby, England. The band performed under this name between 1988 and 1993, then under the name Gorilla from 1995 to 1998.

Lardpony

Lardpony are a four piece indie pop band from Derby, England. They released their first album, This Is Lardcore, on 17 April 2006. It received airplay on BBC Radio 1 DJ Rob Da Bank's show. A second album, The Greatest Invention Ever, was released on 16 April 2007, and received further Radio 1 airplay, this time from Huw Stephens.
The band completed a short tour in 2006, during which they were interviewed by Sky News about the phenomenon of musicians rising to chart success via MySpace. They have supported the likes of The Research, Mates of State, Boyracer, data Panik, Mirah, Milky Wimpshake, Bearsuit and Yumi Yumi.
In late 2003, bassist Dave Williams left the band and was replaced by Nathan Wilson. The band went on hiatus in September 2007 following the birth of Mandy and Nathan's first child but resumed normal duties in early 2008. Throughout the year they continued to perform gigs and record new material until December when McKirdy decided to leave. The band went on "indefinite hiatus" in 2009.
In October 2009, the final recordings of the band were released as a free EP entitled, Seaside Is Painless.
