Weird Nature Swimmers Surprised By Playful Dolphins Close To Shore

This delightful video captures the excitement of a lucky group of beachgoers in Northland, New Zealand over the New Year holiday in 2018.

As people of all ages swam in the welcoming waters of Matauri Bay, they were suddenly interrupted by a mini pod of bottlenose dolphins frolicking among the swimmers for several moments.

Michaela Kordsmeyer was walking her dog along the beach when the dolphins appeared, and was able to snag this video of the friendly human-dolphin interaction.

There were seven little Flippers reportedly in the mix. Watch this video and remember just why everyone loves dolphins.
