Donald Trump has been elected the President of the United States of America (let that sink in), and he’s expected to deliver on the promises he made during the campaign. Even with a conservative House and Senate, getting anything done in Washington is a Sisyphean task, and the things Trump can accomplish as president will likely be the things that can be taken care of with as little blowback as possible. While campaigning, he made a lot of vague promises to a lot of people, but the policies Trump will enact are still up in the air. Will there be a ban on Muslims? Will he attempt to tackle Syria? When it comes to Donald Trump, you just never know.
Think about it, what will Trump accomplish in the White House? Leading up to his win, he not only promised to implement tax reform, but to restructure the healthcare system, build a wall between the US and Mexico, and put Hillary Clinton in prison; but there are only so many pet projects he can have. For instance, President Obama spent both of his terms in office trying to close the prison at Guantanamo Bay and failed to do so. It’s likely that Trump is going to see the same outcome for some of his more personal policies. So what do you think he’s going to actually get done?
