Draco Is More Powerful Than We Realize

Just how good of a wizard is Draco Malfoy? So, we all know and love (or love to hate) Draco Malfoy, the dark, troubled rival to our hero. But every time I read through the books again, I realize just how powerful Draco really is.
While in the dueling club during year two, we see him use a spell whispered into his ear by snape where he summons a snake from his wand. From what information we are given, he has no time to practice this spell at all. He is told the spell by snape and is immediately able to perform it.
Much more evidence comes during HBP however. For one, he is able to use occlumency against Snape, whom we know is an extremely able legilimens. He is also capable of using an unforgivable curse, as he almost uses crucio on Harry in the bathroom. In fact, if Harry hadn't used sectumsempra, Draco may have succeeded in using the curse.
There's also the fact that during sixth year, he is in all advanced classes with the golden trio. Now, the same can be said of Harry and Ron, true, but a bug part of the reason they pass a lot of their stuff is because they have Hermione to help then. Malfoy has Crabbe and Goyle, whom I suspect he has to teach. He is also able to fix the broken vanishing cabinet, which we know has devastating results.
