After the MCU film Black Panther shattered records at the box office in February of 2018, director Ryan Coogler wrote an emotional letter thanking fans, and this video captures all the feels.

After the much-anticipated Marvel film raked in a record $218 million in the US alone during its opening weekend, director and co-writer Coogler wrote a heartfelt thank you note to supporters.

“Deep down we all hoped that people would come to see a film about a fictional country on the continent of Africa, made up of a cast of people of African descent,” Coogler penned. “Never in a million years did we imagine that you all would come out this strong.”

"To see people of all backgrounds wearing clothing that celebrates their heritage, taking pictures next to our posters with their friends and family, and sometimes dancing in the lobbies of theaters often moved me and my wife to tears," he added.
