This is a list of the best Pittsburgh Steelers of all time. Formed in 1933, the Pittsburgh Steelers are one of the most popular and famous teams in NFL history. The Steelers first period of success came in the 1970s when led by Chuck Noll, the team won four Super Bowl championships. Those teams had one of the <a href="http://www.ranker.com/list/top-10-nfl-defenses-of-all-time/frankiej44">best defenses in NFL history</a>. Hall of Famers of like &quot;Mean&quot; Joe Greene, Jack Lambert, Jack Ham and Mel Blount were on those Steelers teams and are some of the best players in Steelers history. That's not to dismiss the efforts of the Pittsburgh offense in any way. In fact, two of the best Pittsburgh receivers in team history were on those teams. Lynn Swann and John Stallworth terrorized opposing defenses during those years and their reward, in addition to four rings, was a place in the Hall of Fame. And we haven't even mentioned two of the greatest Steelers stars of all: Terry Bradshaw and Franco Harris.The Steelers experienced a resurgence in the late '90s. Powered by Hall of Fame running back Jerome Bettis, the Steelers went to multiple AFC championship games and two Super Bowls, including winning Super Bowl XL in 2006. This second era in Steeler history featured some of the best players of their era, including Ben Roethlisberger, Joey Porter, James Harrison and Hines Ward. The Steelers won another championship with these players when they defeated the Arizona Cardinals in Super Bowl XLIII. To date, the Steelers have the most Super Bowl titles and can boast about having the most Hall of Fame players who have been inducted as Steelers. These not only are the greatest Steelers ever, but some of the <a href="http://www.ranker.com/crowdranked-list/best-football-players-ever">best players in NFL history as well</a>.&nbsp;This list of the best Steelers of all time includes players from their beginnings in 1933 to the present day. You&#39;d be hard pressed to find a Steelers fan who doesn&#39;t think that Chuck Noll is the greatest Steelers head coach of all time. He coached the Steelers from 1969-1991, one of only four men to coach a team for 23 years or more. Noll won four Super Bowl Championships with the Steelers, tied with Bill Belichick for most Super Bowl wins. Two other coaches have given Pittsburgh a championship; Bill Cowher and current head coach Mike Tomlin.

Chester Leonard "Chet" Anderson Jr. (March 14, 1945 – March 14, 2007) was a professional American football tight end in the National Football League (NFL).

David Joshua Paulson is an American football tight end for the San Diego Chargers. He was selected in the seventh round, 240th overall, by the Steelers in the 2012 NFL Draft. He played college football at Oregon and was a member of Sigma Nu Fraternity Gamma Zeta Chapter.

Bob Adams

Robert Bruce Adams (born August 15, 1946) is a former professional American football tight end in the National Football League (NFL) and a spokesperson for the Church of Scientology International. He attended El Camino High School during the 1960s, and was encouraged by a coach at the College of San Mateo to play football. He played for a single season at the college, during 1966, while participating in other sports at the school including track-and-field and basketball. A former coach of the College of San Mateo, Doug Scovil, recruited Adams to the College of the Pacific, where he received a full scholarship to play football there. By 1968, he was captain of the team's offense at the school.
He was not drafted by the National Football League, and was signed as a free agent with the Pittsburgh Steelers, where he played under coach Chuck Noll. In 1973 while a member of the Pittsburgh Steelers, Adams became a Scientologist. He said applying Scientology methodology helped his performance playing football. After seven years with the National Football League, Adams finished his pro-career as a member of the Atlanta Falcons. He subsequently took up other professions, including owning a fitness center in Redwood City, California, being a consultant for high tech companies, and working as a teacher.
In 2004, Adams served within the Scientology organization as senior vice president of its Association for Better Living and Education (ABLE), a nonprofit founded by Scientology members in 1988 to supervise the secular programs Narconon, Criminon, The Way to Happiness, and Applied Scholastics. By 2006 he had become a media executive and vice president of the Church of Scientology, and worked out of the organization's facilities in Hollywood, California.  He represented the Church of Scientology at the 2006 conference of the Religion Newswriters Association in Utah. Adams held the position of vice president of public affairs for the Church of Scientology International in 2009, and was a Reverend within the organization. He traveled to Melbourne, Australia in December 2009 for the World Religions Conference. He continued to serve as vice president of the Church of Scientology International in 2010, and was one of four officials listed as spokespersons for the church.

Mitch Lyons

Mitchell Warren "Mitch" Lyons (born May 13, 1970 in Grand Rapids, Michigan) is a former American football tight end in the National Football League.  He attended Forest Hills Northern High School in Grand Rapids, Michigan and played college football at Michigan State University.  At 6'5" tall and 265 pounds, the Atlanta Falcons drafted him in 1993 in round 6.  He played 4 seasons with the Falcons and was then traded to the Pittsburgh Steelers, where he played 3 seasons.  His career statistics include 39 receptions for 345 yards and one touchdown.Mitch Lyons was elected to the Michigan State University Board of Trustees for an eight-year term that began January 1, 2011.

Tim Jorden (born October 30, 1966) is a former professional American football tight end who played for six seasons in the National Football League (NFL). Jorden played college football at Indiana University where he graduated with a degree in finance.
He played for two seasons with the Pittsburgh Steelers, one with the San Francisco 49ers, and another three with the Arizona Cardinals.
Currently, Jorden resides in Scottsdale, Arizona where he is employed by Homeowners Financial Group.

Mike Hinnant

Michael Wesley Hinnant is a former American professional football player who was a tight end in the National Football League and the World League of American Football. He played for the Pittsburgh Steelers and Detroit Lions of the NFL, and the Barcelona Dragons of the WLAF. Hinnant played collegiately at Temple University.

Cory E. Geason (born August 12, 1975) is a former American football player from Tulane University.He played tight end in the NFL with the Pittsburgh Steelers (2000–2001) and Buffalo Bills (2002). Geason caught three passes with the Steelers for 66 yards.
