The Visual Evolution Of Jason Voorhees
The evolution of Jason Voorhees may be nigh unnoticeable to the casual viewer, but the camp-stalking serial killer has gone through several changes over the course of multiple movies. Mentioning the horror icon brings to mind a large man in coveralls wearing a worn hockey mask. However, the first time audiences saw Jason, he appears as a small boy emerging from Crystal Lake at the end of 1980's Friday the 13th since his bereaved mother is the real killer. In fact, it wasn't until the third movie in the franchise that Vorhees donned the infamous hockey mask for the whole movie, creating the signature look for him.
From supposedly deceased child to full-grown monster beneath a mask, here is the evolution of Jason Vorhees in images.
