“Exodus: Gods and Kings” movie quotes tell the biblical story of Exodus when Moses squared up against Ramesses to free the slaves of Egypt. The film was directed by Ridley Scott and written by Steven Zaillian, Jeffrey Caine, Adam Cooper and Bill Collage. “Exodus: Gods and Kings” opened in theaters on December 12, 2014.

In “Exodus: Gods and Kings,” Moses (Christian Bale) learns that a prophecy was made regarding a glorious leader who would lead the slaves from Egypt to freedom and that he is in fact that leader. To accomplish this, however, he must go up against Egyptian Pharaoh Ramesses II (Joel Edgerton), someone who Moses grew up with as close as a brother.

But when Ramesses II doesn’t go quietly to Moses’s intent to free the slaves and isn’t interested in the word of God Moses is speaking of, this sets the stage for an epic battle. Up against insurmountable odds and a tough army, Moses must find a way to lead the Egyptian slaves to freedom.

Aaron Paul, John Tuturo, Ben Kingsley, Sigourney Weaver and Maria Valverde co-star in the film which opens alongside the likes of "Wild," "Life Partners," "Comet," "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1," "Horrible Bosses 2, "Penguins of Madagascar," "Dumb and Dumber To," "Foxcatcher," "Beyond the Lights," "The Homesman," "Interstellar," "The Theory of Everything," "Nightcrawler," "Big Hero 6," "Before I Go to Sleep," and "Horns.”
