This all-star group includes several women who have also won Emmy and Oscar Awards. One famous actress even earned three Tony Awards for Best Actress in a Play.

She won a Tony Award for Best Featured Actress in 2010 for her performance as Catherine in A View from the Bridge. Glen Close won two Tony Awards for Best Actress in a Play. In 1984 she won for her performance as Annie in The Real Thing and in 1992 she won for her performance as Paulina Salas Escobar in Death and the Maiden.

Academy Award winning actress Jessica Tandy won three Tony Awards for Best Actress in a Play for her performances as Blanche DuBois in A Streetcar Named Desire (1948), Fonsia Dorsey in The Gin Game (1978) and Annie Nations in Foxfire (1983). Fargo actress Frances McDormand won a Tony Award for Best Actress in a Play in 2011 for her performance as Margie Walsh in Good People.
